In order to obtain the CySA+ certification, you must pass a 165 minute exam with a minimum score of 750 (on a scale of 100-900). This certification expires three years from the date of the examination and must be renewed before the expiration date in order to stay valid. Successful candidates will have the knowledge and skills to configure and use threat detection tools, perform data analysis and interpret the results to identify vulnerabilities, threats and risks to an organization, with the end goal of securing and protecting applications and systems within an organization upon completion of this certification.
CompTIA recommends candidates complete Network+, Security+ or 3-4 years of hands-on information security or related experience before taking CySA+.

CySA+ is compliant with ISO 17024 standards and approved by the US DoD to meet directive 8140/8570.01-M requirements. It is compliant with government regulations under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
