This entry-level course will lay the groundwork for what you need to be successful, and for what employers expect for their entry-level IT positions. You will obtain a full understanding on how to install, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and operate personal computers. Develop customer service & communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical employees.   Certification Information There are two exams required to obtain the certification, CompTIA A+ 220-1001 (Core 1) and 220-1002 (Core 2), which require a passing score of 675 (on a scale of 100-900) and 700 (on a scale of 100-900) respectively. The exams are each 90 minutes long. Core 1 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting. Core 2 covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures. The A+ certification is valid for three years after you sit for the examination and can be renewed every three years. Learning Objectives
