Network+ Training Course To interact with one another, computers communicate through networks. The CompTIA Network+ course builds on the foundational knowledge learned in A+ of how computers work on their own and teaches you how computers work together to share information/resources. For those seeking out jobs in entry-level IT roles, Network+ is a beneficial certification that proves you understand exactly what a network is, how networks are built, how they actually function, and how they are kept secure. Jobs such as Network Support Technicians or Network Installation require the knowledge and experience provided through the Network+ training course. Certification Information To obtain the Network+ certification, you must pass a 90 minute exam with a minimum score of 720 (on a scale of 100-900). Your certification expires three years from the date you earn it and must be renewed before that expiration date. You will be tested on networking concepts, infrastructure, network operations, network security and network troubleshooting and tools. Knowledge/Experience There are no work experience requirements for this exam. However, CompTIA recommends 9 to 12 months of networking experience. Completion of this course certifies that you are knowledgeable and experienced in information security. It establishes the core knowledge necessary for a wide variety of cyber security roles.
